I still don't like teams from Boston
I have seen this picture many, many times over the last couple of months in various corners of the interwob. Guess what, it still makes me laugh each and every time I see it. I even laugh every time I see that guy on TV standing behind the bench. I am chuckling even as I write this.
Feel free to leave lewd or suggestive jokes in the comments. As long as they are tastefully funny of course. Emphasis on the funny.

Look at me, I am so hip and international
Recently, I have been listening quite a bit to this great little band from France called M83. They have a great "shoegaze" feel to them which really appeals to my softer side. I have also been enjoying the musical stylings of the British band known as Does It Offend You, Yeah? I just found out today that they supposedly got their name from a quote from the BBC (aka original) version of The Office. Do you find that as cool as I do, yeah? I think I am going to start talking like this all the time, yeah? I love girls with British accents, so I think I will love myself with one as well. Even if it is not really an accent, yeah? Just a change to my syntax.
And one more thing. I have been listening to a lot of reggae lately thanks to Native Wayne, live from The Malibu Inn on Indie 103.1, every Sunday on my way home from church. Because of this , I have been sampling the various reggae stations on iTunes while at work and have been loving the summery spin it puts on my workday. I think a cold Red Stripe would also add to the effect quite nicely. But that is neither here nor there, yeah?

West Coast Wednesday
This song popped up on my iTunes last week and I was reminded of how much I enjoy the lyrical stylings of Guerilla Black. Even if he does sound and look like Biggie. I am OK with that. At least he doesn't sound and look like MC Hammer. MC Hammer, what a douche box.

Reason # 29 For Why I Heart Lamar Odom
I picked up this little anecdote from Lamar Odom via Henry Abbot at TrueHoop who found the story on Lamar Odom's website. The story goes like this:
Prior to the start of the Denver series, the Lakers were gathered at a high-end steakhouse for a team dinner. Lamar says says the place can be "rather expensive," especially, you'd imagine, for a large group.

When the check came, Kobe Bryant reached out his hand for it. "As soon as he picked up the bill," says Odom, "we all started chanting 'MVP MVP MVP!'"
Hilarious. I can totally picture Lamar starting the chant and Sasha totally getting into it with a goofy grin on his face as he starts to bang the table. Next thing you know, Turiaf is up from the table doing his little dance thing and chanting away. Wish I could have been there.
PS I wish Lamar would bring back the star on the side of his head. I totally miss it.
